Hello, lovely ones,
Over the past few weeks, many of you have shared how comforting itâs been to have words, stories, and small reminders to return to when big feelings show up.
From now on, Iâll be sharing a gentle weekly resource on Sunday evenings, something practical you can save, return to, and lean on when things feel a bit wobbly.
These resources arenât about doing things perfectly or following steps. Theyâre here to support real life, real children, and real grown-ups, especially in the quieter moments when reassurance matters most.
Some will be simple tools.
Some will be reflections.
All of them will be rooted in kindness, connection, and safety.
đȘ This weekâs resource: The Calm Down Ladder
The Calm Down Ladder is a child-friendly guide to help find your way from âIâm scaredâ back to âI feel safe.â
It was created for those moments when fear feels loud â often at night, but not only â and when everyone needs something calm to hold onto.
You donât have to use every step.
You donât have to say the words perfectly.
You can stop wherever safety returns.
This resource will always be free, because support should never depend on income â especially in moments of need.
Big feelings are part of being human, for children and grown-ups alike. When they arrive, it can be hard to know what to say or do in the moment.
These gentle resources are here to offer support, not solutions. You donât need to use them perfectly or follow every step.
Take what helps, leave what doesnât, and trust that your presence and care already matter more than any words.
This is simply a place to land, breathe, and find your way back to calm, together.

A gentle note before you begin
This ladder is here for the moments when things feel wobbly â for children and for the grown-ups who love them.
It was created because fear doesnât wait for the right time.
And support shouldnât depend on income, energy, or having all the answers.
The Calm Down Ladder will always be free.
If youâre reading this at bedtime, in the middle of the night, or during a moment that feels too big â please know youâre not doing anything wrong. You donât need to use every step. You donât need to say the words perfectly.
Connection is what matters most.
This ladder is simply a guide back to safety, taken one gentle rung at a time â together.

𫶠A gentle note about support
Some families choose to support this work so resources like this can remain free and accessible for others.
If that feels right for you, thank you.
If not, please stay anyway.
You are always welcome here.
âš Scarlettâs stories will continue on Mondays.
đŸ Puddingâs Pawsitivity will pop up midweek.
đŠ Lenny will write to the grown-ups on Fridays.
đ± And on Sundays, weâll quietly gather the tools that help us feel safe again.
Here if you need it.
Always.
𫶠Dream big dreams.
