One afternoon, Scarlett felt a little twisty inside.
Not sad.
Not worried.
Just… unsure.
She sat on the floor with Lenny while Pudding chewed his favourite toy.
“I don’t know,” Scarlett said quietly.
“I don’t know how I feel.”
Lenny didn’t rush to help.
Pudding didn’t stop chewing.
Scarlett waited.
“I think I should know,” she added.
“Other people always seem to.”
Lenny leaned gently against her arm.
“Do I have to decide now?” Scarlett asked.
Nothing answered her.
And then — slowly — she noticed something.
The twisty feeling softened when she stopped trying to name it.
Her shoulders dropped when she stopped searching for the right words.
She didn’t need an answer.
She just needed time.
Later that evening, Scarlett smiled.
“I don’t know yet,” she said.
“And that’s okay.”
Pudding wagged his tail.
Lenny stayed close.
And the question rested.
🫶 Dream big dreams.
