Pudding has been thinking about something this week. š¾
Have you ever noticed that youāre slightly different in different places?
Louder with some people. Quieter with others. More yourself in some rooms than others.
Thatās completely normal.
The question worth asking is: does it feel easy, or does it feel like effort?
Hereās what Pudding has learned about the difference:
Fitting in is when you adjust yourself, get quieter, take up less space, hide a bit of who you are, so other people will accept you.
Belonging is when you donāt have to adjust at all. When you can just be. And thatās enough.
Fitting in can feel like holding your breath.
Belonging feels like breathing out.
This week, try noticing:
Where do you feel like you can breathe out? A person, a place, a moment when you donāt have to try; you just are.
That place, that feeling, is belonging.
And you deserve more of it. š¾š«¶
