When Everything Feels a Bit Wobbly

Hello lovely grown-up,

Lenny here.

I’ve been sitting very quietly this week, listening — the way I do best.

When children feel wobbly, it often stirs something in us too. A tightness in the chest. A question in the mind.

What do they need right now?
What if I say the wrong thing?
Should I be making this better?

Here’s something gentle I’d love you to hear:

You don’t need to make the wobble go away.

Wobbles are not a sign that something is wrong. They’re a sign that a child’s world is shifting, stretching, growing. And when that happens, feelings show up — just as they should.

What children need most in those moments isn’t answers or fixing.

They need you.

Your calm.
Your closeness.
Your willingness to stay.

If all you do is sit beside them, you are already doing something powerful.

If you’d like to keep reading, Lenny has a little more to share about how to stay steady when the wobble shows up — and why your presence matters more than any perfect words.
